**Non-Working Forman**

Laboratory Gases Project

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of an expanding business in the Specialist Gases market, specifically in the role of Non-Working Forman for a large Laboratory Gas project secured at Cambridge University. This is a full-time role based in Cambridge and the project will run from March 2020 to around October 2021.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in this role and experience within the Specialist Gases field is an advantage but not essential for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who can meet the below;

• Effective communicator, spoken and written
• Proven experience with managing and motivating staff
• Hard working and efficient
• Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office
• Proactive and problem solver
• CSCS card holder (SSSTS / IPAF / PASMA a benefit but not essential)
• Ability to work well under pressure and complete tasks to set time periods
Some key duties would include;
• Attending Progress and H&S meetings
• Assisting management of labour on site, and monitoring hours worked and making sure all work is installed to drawings/design and company standards upheld
• Looking after MPI site H&S file
• Booking in deliveries to and from site including use of Tower crane and Forklift
• Liaising with MPI client when required
• Editing RAMS
• Looking after test certification, hand marking drawings of areas tested and upload to MPI server.
• Marking up as fitted drawings for the office to CAD
• Reporting any issues back to senior management
• Looking after job when project manager is away from site

We are looking for individuals with experience within the Specialist Gases or Pipefitting sector who can meet some of the criteria below;
  • Experience of installing copper pipelines from 12mm-108mm
  • Previous use of Brazing and Purging techniques is an advantage
  • CSCS card for access to building sites
  • Experience of installing associated plant and products in relation to pipelines (Air / Vac plants, AVSU's, Manifolds, Medical Pendants, Area & Plant Alarms etc)
  • Medical Gas Competent Persons (MGPS CP) accreditation (or able to work towards the standard)
  • Own Vehicle / Van for transport
  • Have relevant hand tools
  • IPAF and Asbestos Awareness certification would be ideal but not essential
  • Ideally located in and around Yorkshire (main office is in Wetherby, West Yorkshire)

** Delivery Driver & Storeman **

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established but expanding company that specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of specialist gas systems.  These include pipeline systems for Hospitals, Dentists, Laboratories and Industrial installations.

We are looking for individuals who are seeking flexible working hours, the role is initially part-time but dependent on workloads could be a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.  Main duties / requirements to include;

  • Delivery of materials from our Wetherby HQ to projects around the UK via company van
  • Picking and selection of orders to be delivered or collected
  • Managing of incoming deliveries to Wetherby HQ and assigning to correct projects
  • Managing levels of stock and reordering as necessary
  • Management of Stores area in general
  • Previous knowledge or experience in Pipefitting or Gases field would be of benefit
  • Ability to be flexible on working days to suit business requirements, would be of benefit
  • Clean driving licence preferred but no more than 3 points essential
